Tranquility, Happiness and Heritage , 2022
Watercolour and ink

This piece is an illustration of the things that make me who I am. The background has a pattern reminiscent of Nigerian fabric called Ankara. It's a representation of my heritage. The t-shirt has musical notes and paintbrushes because I enjoy listening to music and painting. The plants that border the painting are because I own and love taking care of plants. I find rain calming, hence the rain and clouds over the head of the person. The sun expresses the joy I try to bring into the lives of those around me.
