We dream. Gossamer fragments of our lives swirl around us eluding our grasp. We clutch at them, trying to piece them together into solid familiar forms. Forms that resemble our lives, but are different somehow.
My recent work has been about fragments – taking familiar forms and breaking or cutting them into sections that are then pieced together. Much the way that dreams are. Fragments of our lives are stitched together in mysterious new forms. We search for their meaning.
This pot has been fired multiple times, broken, re-fired, and re-assembled.
