The 3 prints are images of an artificial lotus flower made of plastic.
Lotus flowers usually come into bloom in July and August, and are deeply connected with Buddhism. In Buddhism, it is considered that there are lotus flowers in paradise and a person, who passed away and goes to Pure Land of Paradise, is said to be reborn on top of a lotus flower.
I therefore regard lotus flowers as flowers which exists in the eternal present, where time does not exist. I decided to use an artificial flower as it encapsulates a moment when a natural flower, existing in this temporal world, is in full blossom.
