Taiho on Bihoro Pass. , 2020
90 x 120 x 2 cm (h x w x d)
Oil on canvas

Bihoro pass is one of the wonderful observation points in Hokkaido. It has an amazing panoramic view of Lake Kussharo. From there Taiho could see the Nakajima Island, Iozan, the Wakoto Peninsula and the Shiretoko Mountain Range.
Even today the area is wild and almost uninhabited. It didnt change much since Taiho spent his childhood here.
