Moon / Reflection , 2020
80.2 x 46 cm (h x w)
1200 GBP
Acrylic on Paper Each 36 x 46 cm (unframed)

This series of paintings are created through delicate layers of paint on paper, portraying colour and mark as light and muted reflections.
The Moon is in front but reflected behind. Both paintings exhibited are making visible an underneath, a glow of light, a sort of magic. As with reflected light and colour, change occurs. It is there and then it is gone, it might reappear and glow again with another look, another time.

Kate Scrivener studied painting at the RCA. She has exhibited widely including Danielle Arnaud Gallery, V&A Museum and Oriel Mostyn. Among her awards are 1st prize for the RA Original Print. Her work is held in collections public and private.
