This painting is inspired by the Healing & Connective properties of the Fungi Kingdom.
The weaving pattern represents the interconnected strands that link all Humanity & Nature through the fabric of Life Existence. The global mycelial network & root systems run deep through the Earth, mirroring the neurological & vascular pathways present inside each One of us. As the painting developed on the Vision Train, it became a potent reminder & representation of the supportive web of connected artists around the globe.

The featured mushroom in the center of the mandala is Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor), well known for its miraculous immune boosting properties. These fungi allies have been used in Chinese & Native American medicine for hundreds of years, supporting liver/lung health, & prove to radically assist in cancer treatment. Turkey Tail not only is one of my favorite mushrooms aesthetically, but also symbolizes longevity, health, spiritual attunement, and infinity ~a powerful healing totem to focus on during the paint prayer process.

The four clusters of Gold Capped mushrooms represent the cardinal directions & pay homage to the psychedelic fungi families. Currently, there is a rapid awakening to the ancient fact that mushrooms with psychoactive effects can have long lasting healing benefits. These allies have profoundly impacted my creativity & overall spiritual/mental/physical awareness, so it only felt right to honor them in this painting. I believe that the mushrooms are teachers, & have endless golden nuggets of wisdom to share with those ready to receive.
