While this Blue Oil-on-Masonite is amazing and very colorful - it is especially noteworthy because it is signed in the upper left-hand corner.   
It was painted in Liverpool – just before going to Hamburg.  With boldness and a clear mind, Stuart exuded confidence as he faced a new frontier - one that would change the trajectory of his life as well as his bandmates - especially John.  

Just before hauling the VW bus loaded with amplifiers and equipment in response to a Hamburg booker who phoned Allen Williams looking for a British group to play at his club.  Allen having formed a business relationship with Stuart (remember he asked Stuart if he would paint the bathroom walls  – to cover the graffiti) in his club – and of course Stuart welcomed the opportunity - in exchange he asked if he and the boys could use the space for rehearses…the rest is history.
