These women are threshing harvested rice. They use winnowing baskets woven with bamboo. When they spill the rice from above, light chaff is blown away by the wind, while heavier rice falls to the ground around their feet. It is a traditional threshing method that harnesses the power of nature. The landscape was quite common, yet their movements caught my attention. (Rakhine, Myanmar 2016)
