Unlimited Thought, #3 , 2020

The works in “Unlimited Thought” address freedom and access in politically unstable times. Common areas or border regions such as DMZ, Free Zone, and NLL have not changed for two generations. But recent cross-border social and political activities have created new boundaries where physical location is no longer critical. New ideologies are born and spread and can create new divisions either through accident or direct information access. “Unlimited Thought” presents a new perspective and interpretation of urban environments and geographic locations. It is a work that combines abstract shapes that symbolically present digital data, geographic features, and historical images with colors and shapes that can be seen at the borders of rivers, seas, and land, and other objects. It suggests that ideas and ideologies can be communicated in myriad forms and shapes across visual as well as physical boundaries.
