Over 70 and a Senior Olympian , 2000

Sue Barnes, Senior Olympian at 75 years old. She started running track at the age of 60. She won six World Champion Medal in her age group. 1992 thru 1997 she worked at the health promotion institute at Howard University and as a senior peer trainer and instructor from 2003-2008 at Trinity Washington University. The Council of the District of Columbia passed a recognition resolution to declare November 18, 2005 as Sue Barnes Day. She passed in 2018 at the age of 90.
