1933 - Grand Coulee Dam

In 1933, when many companies were shutting their doors after the onset of the Great Depression, Goodfellow Bros. was hired to work on the first excavation of the Grand Coulee Dam. Although they didn’t know exactly where it would lead, they were proud to be moving their country toward a more prosperous future. One of the largest dams in the world, Grand Coulee would become the largest producer of electricity in the United States.
