Imposter , 2020
22 x 18 in (h x w)
ink and digital

Being the first can sometimes feel very isolating. Having been the first in my family to be born and raised in America, I often felt an overwhelming sense of imposter syndrome whenever I was among the Chinese community. I seek to explore those feelings of loneliness and the desire to fit in with this piece, using powerful symbolism and striking juxtaposition between the shadow of the crane and the girl.
