Dilated , 2020
24 x 18 in (h x w)
acrylic on canvas

Eyes are one of the most telling features of what a person can be feeling. The size of someone's' pupil reveals so much about their emotional state. By removing the face the viewer is able to come up with their own conclusions as to what emotion is being depicted. This allows them to reflect on their assumption when they see a dilated, neutral or small pupil. The piece also gives an uneasy vibe, the intention of this was to replicate the feeling of trying to navigate a more difficult emotion.
