Essence of Life

In light of the protests in the summer of 2020, in the USA and around the world, an open call was put out for any works/projects/photos by the INTAC community in response to or about the events. It is important to support and amplify the voices of BIPOC.

One response from Valerie Poon sparked an idea for a showcase of those that inspire or create works of those that inspire them.

"I have a personal journal where I draw sketches of people who inspire me."

The Essence Project was developed as a showcase to empower the BIPOC around us. Our goal is to help build the voices of people who are underrepresented in society. The project showcases the works of those that inspire and their stories.
