Renoir's Bouquet: A Portrait of Debra Calabrese

Celebrating the mission of this exhibition, Renoir's Bouquet tells the story of an American woman artist. The artist depicted here, however, is Debra Calabrese, a dancer, seeking repose in the Toledo Museum of Art with her favorite Impressionist landscape quietly in view. As the celebration of her daughter’s wedding draws to a close, her bare feet rest upon the cold marble. Flowers pulled from bouquets carried by three generations, with colors borrowed from the 19th century artist's palette, are placed gently nearby. People, stories, and art. These are my passions. I am most fortunate that my subjects include members of private society as well as the corporate, academic, religious, judicial, civic, and cultural leaders of our day. It is my honor to tell their stories.
