First of all, I am not a beer drinker. But I love the color of beer and the soft, cloud-like look of the foam. My initial challenge in painting beer was to be able to capture the look and feel of the foam. I now have a series of three beer paintings. “After the Game” adds another dimension, though. I grew up in a baseball family and have always loved the sport. There have been many, many times after a baseball game spent with family or friends discussing the game over a beer (wine for me). This painting recalls so many of those fond memories.
