On a Gray Day

It is a quiet morning with fresh snow on the old Cottonwood roots and dry grasses. The mood is the muffled silence of a winter Wyoming landscape. In the cold, still morning, a coyote investigates the location for the telltale signs and sounds of moles under the white snow cover. The key for a successful hunt is to not disturb the snow or dry grasses to alert prey underneath.
