I am an expressive artist that works with mixed media, with ink as my primary medium. Life’s Blood Flow is an ink and watercolor drawing. It depicts the importance of the flow of blood through the body for life and, metaphorically, the flow of life through and in the body to be passionately (red color) alive and participate in life. As a woman with a disabled left leg and pelvis, and a deformity underneath my clothes, it also depicts the importance of circles, curves, lines and dots on my body, scars transformed into beautiful patterns that tell a story, to continue feeling life’s blood flow inside and out. I consider myself an emerging healing artist as I came to art through arts in medicine eleven years ago. My art sizes range from 2” by 2” or tiny art to large pieces like this one.
