The series "Pandemic", produced in 2020, highlights the human isolation derived from the fragility of the body and the consequence of the loss of mobility: characteristics that seemed to be reserved for the elderly or the sick. Since 2020, isolation and confinement have extended to any social body, hostage to a virus (Covid-19) which paralyzes and confines the world population in their living spaces. Through images merged with X-rays, both from her personal archives, Sandra Goncalves tried to reflect on the conditions that the presence of the virus imposes on the daily life of humanity which is weakened. The x-ray of our bodies covers landscapes, objects and people like an aversion to pain and fear.

La série "Pandémie", réalisée en 2020, souligne l'isolement humain dérivé dans la fragilité du corps et la conséquence de la perte de mobilité : caractéristiques qui semblaient être réservées aux personnes âgées ou aux malades. Depuis 2020, l'isolement et le confinement s'étendent à tout corps social, otage d'un virus (Covid-19) qui paralyse et confine la population mondiale dans leurs espaces de vie. À travers les images de ses archives personnelles, fusionnées avec des images radiographiques, également dans ses archives, Sandra Goncalves a tenté de réfléchir aux conditions que la présence du virus impose au quotidien de l'humanité ainsi fragilisée. La radiographie de nos corps couvre des paysages, des objets et des personnes comme une aversion à la douleur et à la peur.
