ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
Musgrave’s staged abstract photographs gravitate toward improvised activity where expressive elements evoke a transcendental dialogue with deep psychological impact. Here, by applying several computer programs to the original digital photograph the visual impact of the found translucent shapes and a few opaque objects appears to oscillate between foreground and background with an all-encompassing luminosity that bends, swirls and coalesces into a satisfyingly complex image.
