ARTIST STATEMENT
Art is the air that I breathe. I want to live in art, surrounded by other artists, fine crafters, musicians, art teachers, writers and other creatives who find themselves entangled in the endeavor of art as a literal and spiritual means of survival. When I trained to become a professional artist, I loved all the mediums. I studied in the days of "Abstract Expressionism," but failed to understand what I was painting for. After a while I knew what I needed to express. Watercolor is my preferred media at the moment. I dabble in glass arts and jewelry as well as acrylics, collage and photography. A new medium Digital Art had presented itself from the early 80's as a wonderful way to combine my artistic talent and mechanical ability. Nature is my inspiration, but rather than paint it realistically, I prefer to add a touch of fantasy!

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
All the images I'm using can only exist in the computer. They may only be seen if printed. Most of my art whether digital or tangible is now on my computers. While I still have unsold framed and unframed work taking space, the work on the computer creates no mess and uses none of my storage areas except as ones and zeros on my computers and other devices! I am proud to be a Techspressionist and will continue to learn more and more techniques to try on my digital Techspressionism artwork! And now I have added an Apple pen to use on my iPad. Although I can do amazing things with just a mouse, the pen works more seamlessly!
