Mayflower, November 11,1620 , 2019
Acrylic, Oil on canvas

John Bradford’s familial lineage goes back to the Mayflower. The title refers to the government compact signed on the ship. John’s forebear, William Bradford, helped draft the document, the first colonial governing document. The image foreshadows the apocalyptic nature of the future this small ghostly ship would bring to the unsuspecting peoples of the continent.
