Janet Milner is a contemporary artist and printmaker based in Rye, East Sussex.
She approaches printmaking in a painterly way, Milner’s gestural mark-making gives
her prints a sense of immediacy....almost like they have ‘just been done’.
Her work is playful and reflects a fascination with presenting ordinary everyday stuff as
something special.
Janet studied Printed Textile Design at Liverpool Art College in the 1980's and more
recently MA Printmaking at Camberwell UAL, London. Her limited edition prints have
been selected for the Royal Academy Summer show several times and for many
other prestigious UK group shows and Art Fairs. She has had work selected for both
the Royal Watercolour Society Competition shows at Bankside Gallery, London and
The Sunday Times Watercolour Competition, at the Mall Galleries, London.
