As a painter and printmaker Julia continues to search for the best way to portray her subjects. She looks to combine the many varied print techniques to create different effects in order to reveal the layers or the palimpsest that the landscape and buildings conceal. That sense of place which pervades and fascinates her. Julia feels they have a language of their own which she seeks to interpret.
