Hannah Gilson’s ‘Still Lives’ explores concepts of femininity and womanhood through a combination of popular culture and aesthetics. Through this screen printed series, traditionally domestic and ornate objects are subverted into vibrant contemporary narratives through the use of bold colour palettes and intricate details.

Gilson graduated from Winchester School of Art in 2009. Evolving from a predominately fine arts background, her work has naturally settled with illustration and print making.

She works in London as an educator and illustrator. She illustrates for the ES Magazine and sells work commercially via Print Club London. She has previously showcased at the Affordable Art Fair and Kew Gardens.
