This was my first time at Chishingtan beach in Taiwan. The pleasing sight of a pebble shore spanning the entire length of the beach was intriguing. I witnessed many stacked pebbles, sometimes referred to as “cairns,” scattered randomly on the beach. They reminded me about the coexistence of chaos and order in our natural world and how the perception of order and disorder is guiding our life. Simultaneously, a unique ‘white noise’ was created by the crashing waves on the pebble shore. I had to freeze that moment — “HERE AND NOW”.
