So, connection (or loss of connection in my case) to me evokes so many feelings and thoughts…namely, ‘grief, losing unconditional love and ultimately loss…of my Mum’ “Amidst these strange and testing times with the Covid crisis and self isolation, wouldn’t it be humbling for people to understand and empathise that this is the reality for many people living with dementia especially those who are housebound and unable to walk. Trapped under the fogginess of this cruel condition, the severe impact it has on our loved ones if they don’t get regular or any visits from family and friends....the mind may forget but the heart won’t….’”
