Born Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón, Frida Kahlo was one of Mexico’s greatest artists. Kahlo was known for her self portraits. She married painter Diego Rivera twice and theirs was a turbulent union, spanning a number of years. And though Kahlo was very talented, she only had one solo exhibition in her lifetime and did not sell many paintings. In November 2021, her 1949 self-portrait Diego y yo sold at auction for $34.9 million.

This artwork will be on display at Rocky Mount Mills through March 31, 2022, but will be available for delivery after that date. Applicable sales tax will be applied to the price shown.
