Maya Angelou, born Marguerite Annie Johnson, was a prolific, world-renowned writer, poet, actress and civil rights activist. Angelou was also a Reynolds Professor of American Studies at Wake Forest University for more than 30 years. She penned a 1969 autobiography and coming of age story called I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. “Still I Rise” and “On the Pulse Morning” are two of her famous poems. Angelou’s image now appears on the quarter coin as part of the American Women Quarters™ Program.

This artwork will be on display at Rocky Mount Mills through March 31, 2022, but will be available for delivery after that date. Applicable sales tax will be applied to the price shown.
