Description:
In our brains, the communication between neurons is at the root of all thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This communication produces patterns of electrical activity called brainwaves which can be measured using an electroencephalogram (EEG).

This painting was done on canvas with acrylic paint. The waves in this piece are depicted in an ethereal but somewhat chaotic way which reflects the ever changing landscape of brainwaves produced by the brain during a lifetime. The image in the center was inspired by depictions of the brain seen in older anatomy textbooks.
