Oil on canvas
Influenced by the concept of Cubism and particularly Pablo Picasso, this oil painting explores the combination of Cubism as well as Piet Mondrians Illusions. The work intends to portray a hidden face through the usage of the infinite symbol as the eyes in the top half of the piece. Throughout the works, the intention to include positive colors has been a goal in order to evoke joyous and childish behavior in the viewer. The inspiration for this piece came from a hotel staircase in Belgium that had incorporated the illusion of a face within a staircase.
