Inspired by the worldwide changes in recent years, Tsang evokes the impact of the pandemic on our daily experience in his latest artwork Still in One Piece III. This sculpture is made with exquisite details, showing two faces tightly covered by marks kissing each other. Tsang intends to direct our attention to the changes in how people interact with each other during the COVID-19 pandemic. It might be unpleasant to look at others wearing marks kissing each other, because in the previous year people in our society have gotten used to keeping social distance and avoiding physical contact with others. The artwork reminds us of the possibility of enjoying intimate moments with our beloved ones even when we are separate from each other in certain sense. Tsang contends, “I think each one of the viewers has the right to interpret my work in their own ways in response to their personal feelings.”
