[CBLMC-007- Veronika Richterova]

The Czech artist Veronika Richterova finds the elastic Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), usually used for making plastic bottles, the most appropriate material to realize his artistic intention. The artist intends to capture the essence of human’s desire for upcycling. The artworks in question are designed for practical use or merely for decoration. The recyclable materials are turned from waste to pleasurable greenery.
Some of the cactuses are decorated with tiny flowers on the tips of their stems, which are also made of colorful plastic bottles. Using the materials for upcycling also reminds the audience of the damage plastics cause to the environment and nature.
