Installation of woven searope

My work consists of a video showing how I weave a web between the trees where photos of the European participating group have been pinned. These images have been sent to me from all over Europe, and beyond, and depict fellow artists in places they love.
The web is made from sea-rope which has washed up on the island beaches after being dumped at sea, travelling with the currents from who knows where, until it reached our shores.
The web mirrors the over-reaching branches above and the intertwining mycelium beneath to demonstrate our connections.
These connections, facilitated by the World Wide Web, have enabled us to share thoughts, ideas and skills; we have collaborated and supported, become critical friends, solved problems, and developed self confidence in our worth as artists.
I live on a small island; everywhere I go I am looking out. My work shows how, wherever we are, when we reach out, someone will reach back. There are threads that draw us together.
