"“Unity” is a painting I created on commission to celebrate the marriage of two friends on 04/30/22.
Their wedding took place inside a magical bamboo forest grove & they requested a vision that would serve as a backdrop for their exchange of vows.
A design came together inspired by multiple things - the bamboo forest they would be surrounded with, the Burning Man community they’re connected with, and aspects of sacred geometry that I’d been introduced to by Kyrstyleyez during her ViTra Academy course, “Structure & Flow” - in particular, the symbolism of the Vesica Piscis and the Seed of Life.
I started with a blank panel three days before the wedding, and it took 25 hours to paint, culminating in a final 3-hour session at sunrise on the day of the ceremony."
