Sitting in my kitchen, the evening that the first COVID-19 lockdown was announced in the UK, I grounded myself by watching the light-play on the wall above the table. Our home immediately became our safe harbour, a place of stillness and sanctuary. Twenty months later, inspired by the same dancing shadows, this piece is my response to a remembering of that time; of how we stayed home and waited, whilst the world held its breath. We were safe there.
