This collage is based on one of the most hard working, kind, funny and smart women who I idolize: my mother. As my mother loves wearing denim clothing, and as I thought it would give a nice textured look, I used paper with a denim pattern for her hair. I used mandala designs for my mom’s dress, as she enjoys making and admiring mandala designs. I pencilled in the sleeves on her dress and the features of her face to give the collage more depth, and to make sure that the final piece didn’t look so plain. Just for a bling, I added shiny purple paper for her earrings and eyes, and made sure to add little white highlights in the eyes with puffy paint (which also gave it a little bit of texture).
