Very rare and superb specimen of a ritual mask. Wooden mask painted dark brown with white lines. The head is surmounted by a tall headdress with arabesque designs on it. The face has painted white lines on forehead, under closed eyes, beside nose and mouth. Earrings dangle on each side. Baule Tribe, Ivory Coast, 26"x8".
