One of my favourite landscapes to paint is Chesterman Beach due to the amazing silhouettes created by the islands, or the sheen of water over the sand. There's so much variation in colour and texture that painting this beach becomes an exciting adventure every time I attempt it. I like the movement of the shallow water over the sand, and the bright sky against the dark clouds.
