She was born in Bergama, today she lives and works in Istanbul. After studying painting at Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir, Turkey, she took part in several noteworthy exhibitions from 2004 onwards. Elmas mainly creates videos, installations, sculptures, objects, drawings, paintings and texts. A special project is "Made To Be Seen" from 2018, a video work Elmas created and produced in Sri Lanka, thematising ecology/nature in commercials and language. The video has been shown in several exhibitions and has been touring continuously in different countries for two years. Other exhibitions include.
