Shujō is a retail company which sells stationary, household items and apparel. The word Shujō is a mergence from the two words Shudō and Shuji which both mean calligraphy in Japanese, and Shujō itself can mean emperor or king. The brand’s philosophy revolves around producing highly functional and high-quality products at a low cost. Shujō prides itself on using eco-friendly recyclable materials. The client wants a brand identity to be designed in which reflects a vintage/retro style whilst incorporating hints of both Japanese and contemporary western design. Shujō attempts to keep hold of the past while being able to prosper in modern times.
Presentation 1: The client requires a brand logo and identity for marketing which both acknowledges and substantiates its beliefs of high-quality, eco-friendly design. The client also requires a brand identity adaptable to fit in the contexts of both digital and printed advertisements.
Presentation 2: The client also requires a i stand film polaroid camera design in which reflects the identity of the brand. The polaroid should be identifiable as
a retro instant film camera yet follow a modern aesthetic of both Japanese and western design.
