Life is most precious when it resonates,
resonates with the other.
Yours chimed as a colorful sounding board
resounding reflections without dismissal.
Life is most impactful when its strings
vibrate in exchange with the separate;
your music was about the ensemble;
your solo was embedded in dance in step.

Your answers were grounded in listening
at the price of losing your say.
Your stance made me feel understood
even when I was incomprehensible.
Your presence was ready to echo,
a dynamic vis-à-vis, childlike, ready to play.
You did not shy away from the risk
to tune into the frequency of the different.

You chanced to embrace
what others left abandoned.
The brunt of the challenge
it would not deter you.
You trusted the chance of the new,
the impossible to predict, the remarkable.
And remarkable is what you were.
