For the fifth time, Coca-Cola has been named the world's biggest plastic polluter. By consuming Coca-Cola beverages, you contribute to the world's plastic pollution, which ends up in your body directly or indirectly: The average person eats, drinks and inhales between 78,000 and 211,000 microplastic particles each year.
This collection of three images plays an analogy between the direct and indirect consumption of Coca-Cola beverages, with a consequence of the accumulation of microparticles in our bodies. This work questions our consumption habits and their impact on our health. The first image presents a rape by Coca-Cola of consumers and non consumers and the non consentual impregnation of the body with plastic microparticles. The bottle in the uterus is the gestation of plastic microparticles affecting the fetus and finally, in the third picture, she gives birth to a Coca-Cola bottle which is a deviation of a baby.
When will Coca-Cola take responsibility for plastic pollution and its direct impact on people's health? When will we stop it? Will we stop consuming Coca-Cola?
