The Consumption of the Future , 2023
w = 100, d = 2 cm

In the year 2050 the planet earth has failed to meet the previously set net zero carbon emissions targets. Human beings go about their daily lives performing normal every day tasks as they always have, including withdrawing cash from ATM machines.
Within ATM machines in the future when cash is withdrawn important questions will be raised to individual consumers looking to withdraw the money. Consumers with their constant drive to obtain further material possessions, non-essential for survival, are asked to confirm that they are comfortable with the external impact that their consumption activities will have, including directly on their child’s future.
Does what we consume as human beings align with the objective of moving the planet to a sustainable version of itself where our children will have the same opportunities as us? What as human beings do we actually need on a day to day basis to live a healthy, meaningful life?
