Världskulturmuseerna (Museum of World Culture).
Walrus bone has been used for carving since prehistoric times, their ivory-like long teeth becoming increasingly popular. This craft was developed by many different societies in the Arctic area, in Greenland, North America and as far as Russia. Until the 15th century, it was used by the Vikings as trading currency.
