I have three daughters, and all of them are school-going. With my husband's small income, our life was miserable. I had to stop sending my daughters to school when my husband faced an incident three years ago. But then I learned about the CRANNE project, and our lives improved. CRAAIN project enrolled us in a group or team, and we were eligible for training besides getting other support. No one in my locality knew about this program when I went to the training. I decided to participate because I knew we were already a very vulnerable community because of the climate condition. I wanted to do something and inspire other women in my area. It was a one-month training, and my life has transformed since then.

I received training under the CRAAIN project and seeds and livestock items to ensure nutrition security for the family. After receiving training from CRAAIN, I started growing vegetables in our yard. We received the initial gardening investment's vegetable seeds, ducks, and transportation costs. After growing vegetables, I started rendering livestock. My husband got injured during his construction work and eventually spent days or months in bed. But he also helped me with planting three. Together, we planted trees and slowly started earning money.

Because of the flood, we constantly lose our lands, and nothing remains the same. During this year, the temperature has increased highly, which has caused damage to our plants. But we are trying to cope with the situation. Every month we call a general meeting, and as a team, we gather together and share our experiences. Two years ago, I had no income. Without my husband's contribution, I could not buy anything for my children or myself. I earn 5000 – 10,000 taka monthly, which I can easily contribute to my children's education. This was unimaginable to me all my life. I feel happy to show other women how to do vegetable farming. It is a matter of great happiness for me to become a part of this change. We are now saving to rebuild our house which has been destroyed due to flood. All of these happened because of the CRAAIN project. I can provide nutritious food for my growing daughters. Now we are living like human beings.
I was not able to continue my education. I want my daughters to complete school and go to college. Sometimes, it seems very hard, but I feel I can make it happen since I started earning. Now my husband does not work as a laborer and helps me in the garden. My daughters also help me with our ducks and hens. It is terrifying to sleep in a broken house with small daughters. But we are saving for rebuilding our home. I hope we can make it happen.
