Gold represents femininity in Turkey. That’s why women usually wear gold and men don’t. I took pictures of my mother’s hands with two poses. One is the prayer pose, the other is the fist. The fist is the strength of women. Hands are in the focus and pictures black and white to show importance. Pictures start with belief and end with strength. Stereotypes like golden jewelry and hijab were used. Pictures were edited to make the golden jewelry obvious.
