Burning Ambition: The contouring is created using a mix of plaster and emulsion poured very thickly over the canvas and then dried via heaters to create deep channels across the piece with a white varnished finish. By chance the channels that formed created a look of a human brain, which inspired me to paint the channels in red and gold to represent anger and avarice that overshadows the world around us today, thus I named the piece Burning Ambition.
