Microglia, brain-resident immune cells, are known to sense and regulate neuronal activity.

Through sparse labeling of microglia, full morphologies of individual microglia are visualized. Microglia and neurons are labeled with green color and red color, respectively.

It is impressive to observe that each microglia directly touches several neurons through their processes at the same time. It seems like microglia are dancing to the music (neuronal activity).
