020-093 Laubfall / Foliage Drop' seems simple at first, has natural colors that can be attributed to the pictorial elements of foliage and sky. However, the flying arrangement of the leaf forms and the loose, hierarchy-less distribution over the entire image surface reveal a very different graphic conception of space than in the preceding example Natura Naturans V. Upon closer exploration, the organization in the format turns out not to be so disorderly after all. The individual elements are subject to a kind of gravitation from the center of the image. They strive outward in a circular fashion like following an explosion. The individual bodies of color are not modeled on leaves, for example, but arise from overlapping lines of the inner drawing and their recesses. We succumb to an association, because only the impression of flying foliage is created, from the digital simplification of forms that could evoke falling leaves in terms of color and form. The human brain does not need more to immediately grasp HRW's pictorial content - To the point.
